Your Next Opportunity:

As our next Medical Workforce Manager, you will have the opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of Northeast Health Wangaratta's healthcare services. Your focus will be on overseeing the scheduling and rostering of our dedicated medical staff, guaranteeing optimal coverage and efficient workflows. Utilising your expertise in workforce management, you will foster a supportive and cohesive work environment that enables the delivery of safe and high-quality care.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading and managing the Medical Workforce Unit (MWU)
  • Developing a comprehensive database of Medical Staff details, credentialing and contracts
  • Redesigning and improving rosters to meet service needs, factoring the Victorian Enterprise Bargaining Agreement requirements, rostered overtime, budgetary requirements, and staff well-being/fatigue management

What You'll Bring to the Team:

To qualify you will need the following:

  • Minimum of 2 years in workforce/staffing management, preferably in a hospital setting or similar environment
  • Thorough understanding of healthcare operations
  • Ability to navigate complex staffing challenges
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs) and a commitment to compliance
  • Furthermore, with your strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills, you’ll effectively communicate with a diverse medical team, build relationships, address staffing issues, and foster a fair and positive work environment.

Lastly, your strong organisational skills and attention to detail will enable you to efficiently manage staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage in a dynamic healthcare environment.
